I have never had a chance to ride Sand Hollow. Passing through the other day, I picked up maps and got camping information, intending to return this fall when things cool off. Looks like there are hundreds of miles of trails. Can anyone suggest what are the best trails out there???

What type of riding to you prefer? Sand? Rocks? Trails?
I ask because with the large quantity and variety of trails there, it is difficult to recommend an individual trail.

For Sand Hollow, I use this trail rating sytem: Trail Rating System | The Trail Hero
I prefer mostly rocks and crawling with a mild trail ride or two for the kids and some variety. For the crawling, I usually stick with trails rated 5-8. Some 7's and most 8's push the limits of my driving skill with a stock 1000X-4 on 32's.

Some of the guys I ride with wont do anything harder than a 5 in their stock RZR's. But another fella has a highly built RZR that will do some 8-9 trails.

The catch with the trail rating system linked above is that sometimes a 6 rated trail is actually more of a 4 rated trail for 95% of the ride. It is only rated a 6 because of one small section that may or may not have a bypass. And then there are 6 rated trails where 95% of the trail is a true 6. Having a guide (or a buddy who has been there before) is super helpful at Sand Hollow.

I have been twice and know a handful of trails that my machine is capable of doing. I will be returning October 9-14. You are welcome to join me. I ride with a bunch of RZR guys so it would be nice to have another Talon there...

it is not in Sand Hollow, but in the general area, I suggest going over by Mt. Carmel and doing Peak-a-boo slot canyon. I know you can ride from a trail head by there, but not sure if could drive over to trail head in car and hike to it. Hog Canyon trails are over there too. Sorry to get off topic, but is in general area of sand hollow. Whole area is great.

If you didn't drive car thru Bryce Canyon when you were there, you should save part of a day to drive thru it in a car (no side x sides there). It is cool
