Underside Protection?

One of the first accessories I thought I would need was a skid plate, side skid plate, a-arm guards, and trailing arm guards. These are OEM Honda, and I didn't have the time to investigate what the aftermarket offered, so I figured I would just go with Honda. But, after putting on ~500 miles now, I am not sure that I need anything! First off, the stock skid plate isn't as wimpy as I expected, and running 30" Terra Master tires gives me a bit more ground clearance. Being winter, I haven't done a lot of hard-core rock crawling yet, but what I have done makes me wonder if I don't have enough ground clearance to get by. In the end, I will no doubt get the extra protection, but I'm not making it a priority right now.

What has everyone's experience been?

I went with SuperATV skit plate and and Trail Armor for A-Arms and trailing arm guards. I run 35s and love rock crawling, it depends on your driving style and the type of rocks. I definitely needed them and tore up the original skid plate prior to the upgrade after a year. I believer the stock will do and let you know when it is time to upgrade based on the exact conditions and driving style. :) See you at the top!
