So what does it do? Is it the power vision 3? Did you also do the exhaust?Tranny tune is working like it should with lower down shift points it makes for some very smooth down shifts. Launch mode is easy to use and works great. View attachment 277 View attachment 278
It gives you launch mode, and it lowers the RPM at which your transmission down shifts so that when you get off the gas and start to slow down the transmission will down shift smoothly instead of lurching you forward every time it shifts down. I have been testing it for Dynojet. The Launch mode works Great and it is really easy to do. Yes it will be available for the power vision 3 or any of the other tuners they sell. It might already be available on their site i'm not sure, you can check. Yes i did put Exhaust on put it does not require a tune as it is only a claimed 4 HP gain. The exhaust sounds Very nice indeed. So what does it do? Is it the power vision 3? Did you also do the exhaust?
No they don't have anything on the site that I can find. So is it something you change in the transmission, or is it like a tuner that changes the programming? It gives you launch mode, and it lowers the RPM at which your transmission down shifts so that when you get off the gas and start to slow down the transmission will down shift smoothly instead of lurching you forward every time it shifts down. The Power Vision 3 is available . Talon 1000x with full performance exhaust from HMF, Snorkel from Warrior, and Throttle Body Plate replacement from pwrTune. Power Vision was from HMF and came with tune for their exhaust, picked up the tune from pwrTune their Stage 3INT + Full Exhaust / Intake Mod covered all of the mods and was built on the HMP full performance exhaust and is doing fine so far. In addition, HMF welded a second bung (no charge) for the wideband) 2 sensor. The Power Vision can display 4 different gauges simultaneously and you can select form a total of 4 different displays -- I was amazed at all of the items you can monitor in real time and the added benefit of logging data and sending it to your tuner as well. Inspected the plugs after 50 hours and no problems with ceramic isolators and color looked fine. NOTE: When you change tunes it does run funny for a couple of minutes then settles down and AFR and Lamda move to where they should be -- may backfire one or two times. So what does it do? Is it the power vision 3? Did you also do the exhaust?
Careful with that pwrTune, mine appears to be running lean with a very similar setup/tune so I mounted my gopro and went for a spin. My pipes are glowing cherry red all the way to the mufflers. Andy says this is normal, HMF says it is not so I invested in a Wide Band and will be taking some readings as soon as I get the Bung welded in...picked up the tune from pwrTune their Stage 3INT + Full Exhaust / Intake Mod covered all of the mods and was built on the HMP full performance exhaust and is doing fine so far.
Love to see photos of the instruments you are talking aboutThe Power Vision 3 is available . Hay Idiot, I have not used the launch mode all of the power gained from the tune I gave back when I installed the 35x10x15x warriors but I do like the new ride. I must admit using launch with the tires might be rough on the clutch and not sure if I want to even go there. What do you think?

Hi HavasuDave, let know when you get the bung welded in place and the results of your log files. HMF placed the bung next to the original narrow band O2 sensor, I can also log files for an additional comparison if that will help. I do want a safe tune. Have you gone back to the HMF tune? or are you running the pwrTune?Careful with that pwrTune, mine appears to be running lean with a very similar setup/tune so I mounted my gopro and went for a spin. When I get home I will send a picture, you have the ability to split the DYNOJET screen into quarters and display a different parameter in each quadrant. For the first screen I selected Lamda, AFR, RPMs and MPH. Then you can configure the remaining 3 screens with different information and switch between them on the fly. Sounds more complicated than it actually is.Love to see photos of the instruments you are talking about
It is currently parked until I get some time to sort it out. I bought my PV3 directly from Pwrtune and paid for his tunes so I do not have the HMF tunes. I downloaded the Dynojet tunes but they are all locked too. I suspect all these tunes are very similar because of the way the Talon uses a limited narrow band O2.Hi HavasuDave, let know when you get the bung welded in place and the results of your log files. Andy at Pwrtune said he would look at my datalogs but said any custom tuning would cost me. Needless to say, if HIS tune is running lean and he wants to charge me for something I already paid for, he can take his services and go climb a tree.
He will get ONE chance to make it right.
I never said it was, I said it "appears' to be and you will notice I use the word "if" a lot. I suspect I am running lean because...How have you determined Andy's tune is lean? What is the condition of the plugs? I will send Andy my log files and he was happy to review them. Locking tunes is normal practice, it removes the temptation to play with them. Currently I have multiple tunes from Andy and HMF. and of course they are locked. HMF is just for the performance exhaust and does not take into account the intake modifications. Do get the log files they will help figure out what is going on.
It gets those 32's spinning with no problem, but I would think any time you are dumping the clutch on any vehicle it would be hard on the clutch. It is not some thing I will use much any how as I have had it on my YXZ for 3 years and rarely use it, but with that said it is a nice option to have.Sweet, what do you think of the launch mode coupled with super heavy tires? Rough on the clutch?
