What are you finding best size of trailer is for hauling the talon r. Will a 7 foot wide trailer work well or do people prefer a little wider trailer

I have a 6.5x12 and it works fine, I would imagine a 6x 12 would be fine as well

Thanks. Was wondering if it would fit on a 6.5. Also, how much room do you have lengthwise. Would like to take a 4 wheeler and figure I need about 4 ft if loaded from the side. Do you feel a 16 ft trailer would work based on how it fits on your trailer?

Shutz, I know a 6X12 will definitely fit the Talon, I went with 6.5 just so I can have a little more room, I would think 16 would let you load the Talon all the way to the front and a ATV sideways in the rear? I am not really sure so don't take my word for it as I never tried that. I would think yes but again, I'm Polish lol

Do you feel a 10ft trailer would have fit the talon. Or do you feel you had to have the 12 footer

The X will fit on a 10' trailer with about 3" to spare against tailgate. I don't think a R would fit.

The R fits on a 10' trailer with about 5psi in the front tires. That's how we picked it up from the dealer.

I dropped off my trailer this morning to get the front of it modified.

I just purchased a new 7x16 enclosed extra height all aluminum trailer. Fits but regret not going with the 7.5 width. Only because in order to still have room in the front for gear its better to back the talon in for weight distribution. Backing the talon into a 7-foot wide enclosed is not easy has to be perfectly straight (maybe side mirrors will help). I would also like to get paddle tires which will make this even harder. Side Note: Had to learn to drive with 2 feet to keep from rolling back, hill assist shuts off to quick.

18 foot with a V front is what we had. Worked awesome. Go with as wide as you can , if going with a enclosed. We now have a 28 ft car trailer, but we also have 4 TRX 's along with the Talon X.

The machine is 68 inches wide for the R and 64 for the X..... That's the minimum size trailer you need.

I can fit an ATV in the front and my Talon R behind it.

If I did it again thought I would get a 16 footer. The ATV and Talon fits just fine but if the quad was wider it would be tight.

R is 4 inches longer.... it would fit even if you had to squish the tire just a tad

I picked up my Talon 1000R on a 10 ft. trailer with about 1/2 tire pressure in the front tires so the back gate would close without touching.

I got my trailer modified and now life is good.

Do you have a pic from the side of the Talon on the 10’ trailer. Curious about where the weight sits compared to the trailer axel.

I don't have a pic from the side but I can tell you I have apx. 225 lbs. of tongue weight so it's loaded perfectly for weight distribution.

Wow, so your axel must sut pretty far back on the trailer frame then. I’m afraid unless I back my Talon on it will be too tail heavy. See the pic of my trailer with my 900 Trail which is probably 8” or more shorter than the Talon.

I don't think my axle is any further back than yours but I will take some measurements of my trailer tomorrow.

I let about half the air out of the front tires when I picked up my Talon so I could pull it forward enough to close the gate and it towed fine. My Talon sits about 6" further forward now after the trailer modifications which helps bring the weight slightly more forward.
