The guys over at SXSBlog have been steadily releasing content around the Talon and one of their latest videos shows a heads up test with the Wildcat XX. Some great footage of the 1000R playing in the mud. With noticeably less horsepower on tap the Talon seemed to have no issue matching the pace of the 125hp Wildcat.

If Honda has plans to release variations of the Talon, even dealer fitted options that essentially come off as a different trim, then I hope before that happens, they consult enthusiasts like that. Too often its regular run of the mill journalists that only get seat time on press day.

These kinds of real world tests are exactly what enthusiasts want to see. Those drone shots are incredible and shows just how comparable these two machines are. Does the broken axle on the XX make the Talon the winner here lol?

Seeing it hold up so well to such established rivals is a great feat for a brand new machine. With guys like these beating on them, we'll quickly find out if there are any build quality issues.
