As a spare, if I use a stock front tire on a stock front rim, to limp home could I run it on the back axle without a wheel spacer? The stock front rim is offset 5+2", and the stock rear rim is offset 4+3". That means the front rim would stick in toward the hub an extra inch. Is that enough to cause a problem rubbing anywhere?

I don't really want to run out to the garage and swap a bunch of things around, when someone may already know the answer. Thanks.

I would suggest just putting one on measure it and it is close or rubs, just throw a 2" spacer on and it should be good. I run them all of the time so do not worry about braking the spacer. Hope that helps.

The front on the rear will be fine. It only goes 2” behind the face of the hub. 5+2 means 5” behind the face of the hub, and 2” means 2” out from the face of the hub. So a 4+3 is 4” back from the face of the hub, and 3” out. Got it?
