On oil dip stick,there are two marks at the bottom of stick.Approx.1/4” apart.Is this your low and high oil level.
It calls for 6.2 quarts of oil on talon x.when I put in five quarts it was up to second line.

Was this after you drained all the oil, replaced both filters, warmed up the engine, waited a few minutes then checked the oil without threading in the dip stick?

Per the service manual check the oil level by placing the dip stick on the top of the threads, don't screw the dip stick into the threaded housing to check oil level.

Edward, I just changed my oil and it required just over 6 quarts.

Did you remove both engine oil drain plugs?
