Hi all, new to the forum, love my talon r. I live in N/W Indiana, previous ride was a 17 og maverick. My wife and I enjoy Silver Lake sand dunes, in Michigan,
we have been to Brimstone in Tennessee twice, Black Rock mtn in Kentucky, Rush off road in KY, we are planning a short trip to Royal Blue in TN, next week.
We also have booked a trip to Windrock in TN, in May. First confirmed trip to Silver Lake will be July 1st, through July 6th. If anyone is interested, let us know,
or meet us there. Can't miss the green Talon. Bill and Renee Diskin.
P.S. winter is almost over, it's time to ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wooooohoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum Bronco. My twin brothers go to Silver Lake often with matching 1972 Broncos with green fiberglass bodies. They just got done with motor rebuilds and are anxious to get them out.

I will look for them, we haven't been there on the 4th of july, for about 15 yrs. I am looking forward to it, hopefully get to see some of the old keith black hemi pickups drag racing. photo from the early 80's, beach is gone. Michigan needs to start dredging!

Cool old photo back when everyone lined up on the beach. It's such a fun place. One of my brothers has a cabin close the Mac Woods Dune rides.

Welcome to forum Bronco. I just returned from Royal Blue today. We rode Sunday through Tuesday. Lot of mud. Have a great ride.

We just picked up our new green R this past Saturday, and I pretty much live at Silver Lake during the summer. Just got notification that the DNR just postponed the dune opening from April 1 to May1. Don't have a good feeling with how this stupid virus is going, I'm just hoping this whole year isn't a wash. Can't wait to get this thing on the sand. Maybe I'll see you up there.

I know both of your Brothers, and live just up the road from their business. We have a seasonal camping lot just down the road from their place at Silver Lake. Small world!

wheels are not beadlock, Lighter is better. Xtreme Tire set me up with these for my og maverick. same bolt pattern, different diameter studs.This year I will be running more paddles, same scat track tire. My son Will, and our friend Tim,
will be at whatever dragstrip. for the 4th of July. If you get the chance check out their youtube channel at UTV Outlaws.
P.S. 72" wide, w/offset, 70" rear, may end up using a 1" spacer in the rear.

this last fourth of july trip saw 1.5" rear spacers, new 14 paddle tires, (hooks great out of the hole now), and moose harnesses. Next trip to silver lake is scheduled for august 6 - 10th, It is the utv unleashed event. If possible look us up
if anyone can make it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks to Tracy Brickey for the radius arms. hope to see everyone there!!!!!!!!!!!

Now i really need a new trailer............................

I'm practically living here so we should be on the sand. We were there the fourth, but it was so busy didn't drive around much, I saw few green Talons, parked by a turbo with paddles in the parking lot. I'll be looking for you.

I ended up towing the one turbo talon, to the parking lot. He and his son flipped, ( not injuries, other than the honda) didn't want to end up with a razor or can am towing him out, would have been all over you tube, lol! we'll be sporting the pirate flag again,........Look me up!!!!!!!!!!!

What was the cause of the accident? Just curious we have a lot of accidents locally and every weekend it seems someone is being air lifted to a hospital and most of that is irresponsible drivers.
