Good Day Everyone, name is Brian. Currently working out a deal on a 2020 Talon R. Have a 2018 Pioneer 1000-5 LE that I will be selling to a neighbor or trading in. Pioneer has been great, but always wanted the Talon! Live in Pinetop AZ in the summer, and Roosevelt Lake in the winter...AZ native. My user name explains my other "hobbies."

Now that the into is out of the way, a few quick questions... Looking to purchase a few items before the machine arrives and need some input. All are geared towards protection of the Talon.

Mud Busters or RokBlokz? Looking for the best coverage and built in front flap to keep stuff off the side of the machine. Will do front and rear.

A-Arm and Trailing Arm guards....factory or Trail Armor? Any others?

Any other items recommended primarily for protection I pick up before the machine arrives?

Windshield, bed enclosure, lower doors, and other necessities will be ordered once machine is home.

From having other Side by Sides that I have bought rock protection for, considering weight and performance, I highly recommend Richochet skid plate systems and lower arm protection. They also can custom powder coat to get colors right. Also, if you ride in dusty desert areas and need mirrors for street legal, I absolutely love my Sector Seven mirror/Lights, which outperformed my extremely expensive light bar, which I sold. I’ve posted a bunch more things (windshields, cargo boxes, tires, rims, suspension (weller racing), and so on) in my comments to things that I found work very well on the talon if you search thru my history on this site. Overall, I tossed a bunch of money on my other SXS’s that I feel I got right on my Talon this time. Cheers and welcome to the site.

Thanks for the reply. Those lights are slick! Have a new 1/2" thick 5X10 sheet of UHMW that I will machine a one piece skid. Just don't want to mess with the arms.

Will be searching you posts for suggestions...

The rear arms take some hits the way the Talon arms sit, but impact points at some bending moments so wanted aluminum. Also, from mistakes in the past, Aluminum on the front adds strength and is much lighter than plastic. I did the rockers too.
