Does the 3” lift affect suspension performance? I have a X4 lv also and thought maybe those collars compressing the spring make a difference in the suspension.... any Input?

also is a lift kit totally necessary for 33’s or 34’s?
On some machines more than others. The Talon has a pretty good suspension setup. It may be a little stiffer, but you won't really tell on the Talon in most situations. It makes a Pioneer run better than stock, and it makes a Popo General a little on the stiff side.

If you want to go a different route and just want the bigger tires without the lift....the Forward A-arms will let you run up to a 34" with no lift. Maybe a 35" that runs short.

They don't give you lift, but they are arched for more ground clearance and forward offset for the bigger tires...which will also give you more ground clearance.

If you're a slow rolling mud guy, there's nothing wrong with the lift. Great for ground clearance and bigger tires and slow mud riding. If you're out there hitting it hard and throwing it into corners...just stick with the arms and bigger tires. You'll like that better for more technical riding.
