I expect to be picking up my 1000x-4 just after Thanksgiving and looking for anyone with experience using a snow plow with a Talon. Which brand model you using? How’s it working. Any issues installing or using it? Suggestions?
I have experience using a plow with Polaris 800 sportsman, but this is a completely different beast.

any help welcome.

I kept the KFI plow from my Can Am, just replaced the plow plate.
I have yet to try it out, but if it works like it did on the Can Am, I will be happy.
A word of advise, if you are going to use the KFI mount, mount it BEFORE mounting the winch...Makes the job a lot easier

It depends on what you will be plowing. Long driveway/road it will work great but the X4 has a horrible turning radius (21+ feet) and it will be difficult to plow tight spaces so for a small tight driveway, forget it and keep the 800 sportsman.

Make sure you get a 72" plow. Here are some Denali plows, they are supposed to be pretty decent...

And I highly suggest power angle...

I just bought a Denali pro 72 inch for $950 out the door. I also have a super atv 4500 pound winch. Super happy with everything. Install was beyond easy. LET IT SNOW!

Thanks for the ideas. My driveway is long and straight so I should be ok.

No SxS is really built for plowing but the aftermarket will build anything that will sell. Plowing is the worst thing ever did with my 1 Ton, tore everything up FAST. I can't imagine the frame damage a plow can do to a tin box framed SxS.

Some SxS's are built to tow but not the Talon. However, you can purchase a 2" hitch receiver for the Talon and do whatever you want.

Towing something on wheels is easy and it isn't the capacity that I would worry about, it is the horrible jarring that a plow or drag box puts on a frame when you hit things. Even the small seams/cracks in a driveway just hammer the equipment and if you hit a parking barricade or rock hidden under the snow, you will be fixing or replacing the frame.

Plenty of plow pics and vids online.
