Has anyone been able to find specifics about the warranty package on the Talon. I've seen it listed as one year, but I don't know if that's bumper to bumper or if its limited by hours as well. Not expecting there to be any major issues with the sxs, but I'm always a bit hesitant to buy into the first generation of an unproven platform.

I've only seen the one year warranty mentioned on some spec sheets, but no specific details about it. Knowing Honda I'm sure its all inclusive and not restricted by time spent on the machine. I'm surprised its not longer, but I suppose Honda is anticipating how these are going to be driven.

Good to know that you can extend the factory coverage, but doubt there will be much need to do to. So long as you don't plan on making lots of aftermarket mods early on, I'm sure that Honda has spent lots of time putting the Talon through its paces.

Not all of us are that confident in this nor any ATV/side-by-side for that matter.
Honda is a great brand but i'm planning to hold onto this for a few years so the small cost of a 24-36 month term will be considered an investment.

Just good to know that you can opt to extend coverage if you want, lessens skepticism around a brand new product. And just to compare I know Polaris originally only offered a 6 month warranty on their machines, not sure if that's changed.

Only $500 was required for a deposit but I also spent another $2500 in accessories, that when I was told about the Aluminum race roof issues as well as needing the winch wiring harness to have the audio system. My machine is suppose to be here the last week of March but yesterday I was told that it could possibly arrive the week of the 18th now.

Yesterday I checked on extended warranty info and theses prices posted are all $300 to $500 short of being current Honda prices. They do not apply to the sport models and the Talon is a sport model.

I wonder how much of that increase in cost has to do with Honda's reliability ratings. On the automotive end it has been slipping, although I don't know what increases to extended warranty has been like on that end. Here, it definitely opens up more questions to be asked.

I have owned numerous Honda products throughout my life and I have never had to use a warranty claim yet with them. ( As I knock on wood ). Honda builds a good product and they are one of the main reasons they have such a loyal following across multiple product lines.

Thinking about doing the exhaust and programmer on my talon R, was wondering if any of you have ever dealt with a honda manufacturer warranty if a issue would arise or would they void my warranty?
