Hillbilly brake- won’t install?

2583 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Gprap
First off, the owner has been good to me and i willing to ship me a new one. No complaint with the product or the company.
Possible issue- the slide bar is not running straight but is bowing outward.
I looked at it, it appears fairly straight.
However-
The slide bar will not clear my brake pedal bar to engage.
I looked at the push rod of the talon brake peddle that goes intoThe piston for the brakes. There is no adjustment left. However, I have not pulled the boot off to see if there is.
Any ideas before he sends me a new one?

I would just wait for the replacement, yours must have bent or something. Should be the easiest thing you ever install ??

I had to push very hard to get the brake down to engage the slide. Not sure if that is what you are experiencing. I truly had to put a lot of pressure on the brake.

Shucks, I forgot to look at the date of the post. Sure it is installed now!

I agree, it can get a little crazy sometimes the way this forum format is !! I have to look at all of the dates before I decide to open them or not. Quite confusing at times. oh well.
