I installed a 40” curved Rough Country light bar with Daytime Running Lights on the roof of my X4. Made my own mounting brackets since I couldn’t find any readymade ones that worked. Everything works as it should.
But I want to replace the supplied small 3-position switch with a standard size rocker- or even two switches if necessaryOnly 3 wires lead to/from the supplied rocker and I’m not sure what each does. I assume the center wire/pole is a ground. I do know that connecting the center wire with either outer wire/pole triggers either the light bar bright leds or the center delivery leds.
All rocker switches I’ve seen have a 12 volt hot wire and ground coming in, with a 12v wire leading to accessory / light bar going out.
I’m usually good at 12v electrical but this seemingly simple thing has me stumped for some reason.
Any advice or suggestion is welcomed…
