Okay, about to do ma first oil/filter change. Picked up the Honda engine and dct filters. But, I plan to use T6 oil in the engine, am not a fan of the Honda regular oil, and they are way too proud of the synthetic. Been using Rotella T6 for years in my Japanese 4 cylinder bikes. But, not in a twin.

Thoughts?

Have Maxima Gear Lube for Diffs.

*Probably gonna regret this...like asking which tire, or best chain lube...

As long as what you use is approved for Wet Clutch use then you will be fine and your warranty will remain intact.

Appears that T6 is JASO MA/MA2 spec'd so you should be fine.

It provides excellent protection for my Duramax so I don't see why not the Talon. I think I will try it next oil change and see if it might be quieter than the Honda HP4S :)

I am a chemist, so I am partial to ester based synthetics. I run Redline which is an ester/PAO blend. As I recall, Maxima and Motul also have ester based motorcycle oils.
