Wintering in the Arizona desert, dust on the trails is breathtaking. The downward exhaust on the Talon stirs up dust even greater. This week I removed the exhaust tip and redrilled the three bolt
holes to aim the exhaust at a 45* angle as pictured. I made a template of the mounting holes and just split the old holes in half. Care must be taken as the new holes need to be exact. The exhaust now exits back and down, the way Honda should have done.
FYI - as soon as I took delivery of mine before it was even out on a trail or engine hot, took those bolts out and coated em up with some high temp anti-seize.
90% of the time those bolts get galled up from the heat and break off when trying to take off to check spark arrestor.
