Engine temp light comes on during normal use. If this happens you need to check your fan. Some fans were wired backwards from the factory. Red wire to the blue wire on the fan , and then the green wire to the black wire on the fan the picture is wired the correct way

im always watching the gauges in any thing I own so first 45 miles two bars on the gauge . went out for a more aggressive ride and saw three bars cruised back to the house no cooling stayed on three all the way back. got out walked to the front and the fan was blowing out the front !!! remembered reading it in here a couple months back before I owned mine . quick pin swap all is ok and it didn't get to hot during the critical break-in period . glad I remembered reading it here thanks wild racer!
