Can you give some details on how this happened to you?

I had a similar experience but with the front knuckle at the lower ball joint. Took a small jump (about 5 feet and 15 MPH) and "snap". I've jumped my 13 year old Rhino much worse than that many times and never had anything break. Are the aluminum knuckles on these machines going to be an issue/weak point?

I think it is a combination (at least on the front knuckle). The part is designed/engineered to barely meet the strength requirements and if there is a tiny flaw in the casting it will fail. Where the lower ball joint attaches is the thinnest part of the entire piece. Personally, I don't think they designed enough "leeway" in the part...

I'm no expert but now that I look at it blown up, it looks to me that the dark part might be a casting flaw...

I think Honda owes me some parts, how do I submit a request/complaint?

Submitted a CR Service Request with details and pictures on 7/10. All I asked of them was to pay for the parts and I would provide the labor but haven't heard a peep and honestly don't expect to. Nothing other than an automated email with the case # when I submitted the online request. Not even a "Sorry, can't help you" reply or anything from them in 10 days. Maybe that is a good sign but I doubt it. Probably means they are hoping I just go away.

Anybody here know anyone at Honda that I could contact? I would like to speak with someone about this but don't know where to start other than the request I submitted.

Go post this up on there Twitter and Facebook pages. I bet you will have a response with 24 hours :) I have done that with other companies and it works. As long as you have a legitimate case and you are unhappy with the service it is an effective method.
