Anyone else solve this problem without going to the idiots at the dealer ? As soon as I start the talon which is 2020 1000r only 600 miles , the clutch temp sensor and I-4wd light comes on and will not go away or shift out of first gear

How can you retrieve diagnostic codes off of a paper clip ?
You use the paper clip or jumper wire to short the DLC and read the codes via flashing indicators in the dash. Different indicators and procedure for the EFI, DCT, i4WD, EPS, etc.

It would be beneficial for you to purchase a service manual, especially since your warranty is or about to expire. Almost 700 pages including all the information on how to read the codes and diagnose each code for the various systems (even without the MCS diagnostic machine) is all in the service manual.

If you have never done anything like this before and are not comfortable with the process, you may have to take it to those "idiots" you speak of and have them connect it to their $2500 MCS diagnostic tool.

Had a sound system malfunction. With the sound system powered up the Talon would show clutch temp light, flash I4wd light and not shift out of 1st gear. Disconnect the sound system, the Talon goes back to normal. I'm guessing electrical interference with the clutch temp sensors faulted the Talon's computer.

no sound system here , I actually took out the gear change tool and rocked it back and fourth untill it recognized the correct gear it was in and then turned the emergency valve in and she runs like the day I bought it , but I was still wondering if it’s okay to keep like this? because I’m assuming that the solenoid is bad sense I had to manually open that emergency valve

How did you open the emergency valve?
