Disclaimer up front- electronics is not my thing. I have installed a few winches on quads and my truck and light bars, that's it.
I like the idea of the honda OEM switch plate and harness with accessory sub harness. It is overpriced although you can find it a little cheaper by shopping around. As I dug a little deeper though it appears it is only truly "plug and play" if you use OEM Honda accessories which I don't want to do (price) I believe on non honda accessories the power and switch connectors would not plug into OEM harness. I also want to eventually install a second battery and isolator kit. I have found a generic accessories power management harness that I believe would work. Thinking if I installed the second battery and isolator kit first up front under the hood using the pre-wired winch wires on the talon, then run accessories and winch off this second battery with the generic power harness it would still be pretty simple.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. Remember I am "electronically challenged".
On a totally unrelated topic...I just picked up my 2019 Talon X from the dealer. It had 24 miles on it. Dealer said that was normal for the SxS. Just wondering. I have bought 3 atv's from this dealer from same salesman. Drove 2.5 hrs because they have given me a good deal and are super easy to work with so I trust them as much as you can trust a dealership.

Wasn't worried about anything being hurt I mean it looked like it just came off the show room floor. I asked the salesman about it, if it was sort of a demo model or something or if I was reading the display right, thought it might have been 2.4 or something. Explanation he gave was they don't come in crates like the atvs so they get driven to move them around both at factory and dealer. Guess that makes sense but 24 miles seems like a lot of "moving around".

Agree - 24 miles is a lot fo moving around. Guessing someone tried it out at least in the lot. I looked at several and none had more than 2 miles on them. Bought a new truck this year and it had 600 miles on it at delivery. It was at two dealers and they delivered it another 300 miles so it added it. in the long run figure it really doesn't matter.

We just got our 2019 R and it had 1 mile on it. I wonder if they used yours for demo rides...
