Picking up our new baby today at lunchtime. Can't wait to get her home. We had the street legal kit installed at the dealership. I'll be driving it home about 2 miles. Any other states have street legal status for these beside here in Montana?

I'm in Bozeman. I got to the dealership yesterday to pick it up and the salesman says we made a mistake on your price. He said it was priced at 2022 not 2023 pricing. Well my deposit check already went through so we got us a contract. He was not happy. Everything else worked out great. pics to come

Has anyone attempted to add all the Fed requirements ie wiper, turn signals, tag light, etc and get a TAG in Alabama?

To answer your question about street legal status, SD is the same as Montana and interestingly both states allow reciprocity with each other. Funny story about me sending my wife to county courthouse to register and license our new Talon RFLV. Of course when the lady at the Treasurers office starting questioning my wife she immediately tried to phone me, I missed her call and only later had to hear about the ordeal. I had always registered previous ATVs and SxS so I new about the requirements for street legal and signing the affidavit confirming the vehicle would be in compliance. My wife reluctantly signed it and I messed with her saying I would drive down the highway before I installed mirrors, licence plate light, Horn and blinkers and if I got stopped she would be fined. She didn't think it was funny. Long story short all items will be installed soon.

At least my part of Montana does not require blinkers, a horn or license plate light. Only had to add mirrors and sign affidavit confirming required equipment.

One of the other items required in the affidavit was to affirm that the tires were either a) pneumatic or b) solid. Love Montana!

In November of '21 bought an RLV for several hundred under list. For 3 months had looked everywhere from Montana to the Mexican border to find one (spent winter in Baja so was traveling from north to south). Motoworld of El Cajon!

But Utah does not reciprocate with any other state anymore so that Montana plate will get you nothing but a ticket here in Utah. You will need to register it here to ride in the street (which means title it here too) or get an off road license (new thing here). AND you will need to complete an online course (even out of state riders) and carry the certificate with you or get another ticket.

IOW, be careful and do your homework if you come to Utah, things have changed in the last few months.
